Hey Sistahs!

The other day, I was just walking around in town, minding my own business when I smacked right into a one night stand! He was excited to see me and I wanted to duck under a bus! You see, it was one of those awful episodes that you want to completely delete from your mind (think "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind") But I planted a big plastic smile on my face and pretended to be so glad to see him. Afterwards I felt like a big fat phony! Hell, I'm too nice! What's been your one night experience? Hala at a sistah!

Let Him Go

Hey Sistahs,

I've been thinking alot lately about how hard it is for us to let go of the bastards that make our lives a livin' fire-breathin' hell. It's really not our fault, we're emotional creatures, that's how we're built. But there comes a time when you've got to stop hittin' your head against a brick wall, save yourself some brain cells and just let the niggah go! I know it's hard and you don't want to let go of something you've invested so much time and love on. But sometimes, it's just not worth it.

There's a sistah I know who wasted ten years of her life on a niggah, she did everything for him, gave up her time with her friends to be with him, cooked and cleaned for him, did some kinky stuff in the boudoir for him. But he still cheated on her, dumped her and married his ex in three months. Damn! That's time she'll never get back, time she wasted when she shoulda been bonding with her galfriends and family, accomplishing her career goals or even planning a trip to see the Dalai Lama! So sistahs... dump the niggah and repeat after me...

If he doesn't treat me right, the niggah's gotta go!

If he cheats on me, the niggah's gotta go!

If he's beating on me, the niggah's gotta go!

If he's playing with my emotions, the niggah's gotta go!

We're beautiful and strong and we deserve someone who doesn't subtract our amazing qualities but adds to them. LET HIM GO! Yes... there's a better man out there for you but you've got to love yourself enough to let the bastard go so you can find the prince. Trust me, that frog you've been kissin' for eight years won't turn into a prince anytime soon! Kick the niggah out! You owe it to yourself to be happy.
